Kanban in Small Teams

Page history last edited by RyanKelley 1 yr ago

The main topic I was trying to discuss in this space were the challenges that are out there with implementing LEAN and KanBan in small teams. We spent quite a bit of time going through what a KanBan is and explaining different ways of setting up a KanBan board. Most of the discussion revolved around KanBan layout on the whiteboard. I believe that collectively we need to provide some better documentation as to how exactly setup the KanBan board for your team because a KanBan board that works for team A will not necessarily work for team B. The overall message that we came up with for small teams implementing a KanBan system is: Keep it simple, don't over analyze a bunch of stuff. Start small with your KanBan board and keep it coarse grained. Then you can work up from there as you are more comfortable with your process and KanBan.

I have posted the first in a series of documenting our Lean/KanBan implementation on my blog, I will post links to the other topics as I write them:
